To receive

It is not always easy to receive. Gifts offered — either physical ones or metaphysical ones like kindness, love and support — are like a seed. If they are thrown onto concrete, they cannot come to life. When this happens the giver, the receiver and the gift itself are robbed of the potential aliveness of the gift.

We have to be open to receiving, allowing the softness of our being to say yes to the gift.

We also have to accept the offer. This might mean we need to accept our worthiness to receive as we accept the generosity of the giver.

When we receive from Universe gifts of synchronicity, beauty and seeming miracles acceptance of our worthiness might take time.

It is not about deserving. Life itself is deserving. It is about Kairos time and showing up in the fullness of our expression, acting in integrity over time.

To receive is to allow our whole being to expand to the dimension of the gift. As we do this, we must enact a countermeasure against our own sense of entitlement or arrogance.

Gratitude is the practice.
