To Ask

To ask.

It is a lost art.

We obfuscate. Manipulate. Waffle.

Know exactly what you are asking for before you ask.

If you do not know, state you do not know, which means you ask for clarity.

If you fear no is the answer, then face the fear. There will be many no’s. If the fear of rejection gets in the way of asking, your life will be smaller. If the fear of appearing demanding, greedy, or selfish is what stops you, consider that these fears of what others think of you limit your life.

Ask so that the person you are asking is clear about what you are asking for. Make it easy for them to say yes or no.

Ask with your whole heart. If you do not, then why are you asking?
