The truth of the mirror

We need more mirrors in the world to reflect hypocrisy and contradiction. If only we could see the foolishness of our actions.
The horrors of the Holocaust are to be remembered. Yet those who suffered the Holocaust appear to consider it acceptable to inflict similar cruelty upon another race.
A nation cannot claim to be a stand for freedom and democracy when behind the curtain they topple leaders who do not bend to their will.
When we have a strong position about people — making someone wrong for not having the same position — and then assigning these people who do not agree to the dustbin of irrelevance — does not give others the same rights we want to have in holding a position.
Insisting on our freedom while denying another their freedom ultimately turns its head back upon us.
The truth of the mirror is hard to stomach. Yet until we surround ourselves with truthful reflection of our words and actions, hypocrisy and contradiction will be how others experience us.
