The first, the 1st, the first
A beginning. A new day, new year, dawn.
What do you want to leave behind? To compost? To return to ground to be reimagined?
What do you stand for in this moment? Unwavering. Fierce?
Who do you stand for in this moment? To your last breathe? To your last breathe?
People can rely on you to do what? Every single time? From this day forward.
We get the world we demonstrate.
On this day in 2018 a random idea arrived, in the moment, to write this blog. The idea, to have a day book complete by the end of the year. Here I am, now into the fifth year. That is 1,460 blogs later.
What do I want to leave behind, to compost? Righteousness and arrogance — mine and others. I will invite it to be named in me, and I will call out others who do the same.
What do I stand for in this moment? Being the change we want to see in the world, not just within me, through my demonstration, but through how I do everything, how I bring people together to work on wonderful soulful projects, how I coordinate people to be able to do their best work and be seen in all of their multidimensional capacity — how I support others to design enterprises that demonstrate the very world we want to create in every cell, nook and cranny of their being; how I love, my choices of where I spend my time, where I allow myself to get madder than hell, where I allow myself to fall into the soft spaces of heartbreak.
Who do I stand for in this moment? People who stand in their own integrity against injustice, violence, greed, cruelty, persecution, ridicule, shame.
People can rely on me to do what? Tell the truth. Be honest. Do this from love and care.
Make it count. Small acts repeated. 1460 blogs later.
