Speak the truth of who you are
Back in my twenties I signed up for singing/voice lessons.
I was not aiming to become a singer, rather I simply wanted to feel confident enough to sing knowing it would not create discomfort for anyone listening.
The precession of this, the side effect, was that I learned about breathing, about finding my voice. About the power of discipline in using our voice and breath.
I am a small person, only 5’1”. Yet I can speak to a room without shouting and have my voice project.
To find our voice, to speak, be that to a room full of people, or a few, is to connect to the Source within us. It comes from our root, our base, and it is our unique Pattern Integrity.
Our life is a journey to navigate to the place where our voice, our power, our Pattern Integrity must be expressed, not in half tones, or stilted passages. Rather in the clear transmission that comes from our base and pierces the fabric of the receiver with resonant clarity. We do this in a thousand ways…words spoken and written, a gaze, our actions, the messages we deliver.
Cowering in fear about our own voice and authority, the power of the gift that our life is, is a half stage, a half life.
Stand, anchor your feet, speak the truth of who you are, refine the message, take the feedback from those who see the whole of you.
Repeat.
