Put life above money

How could we even need to make this statement?

Yet here we are.

Life — this glorious mysterious thing called life, so fleeting.

Yet an abstract creation of human arrogance that privileges power takes primacy.

We stand on the ocean shore and look at the plastic entanglement — the horror of our scrambling for more. My heart hurts.

One thousand times a day — my heart hurts — as I hear of drought, fire, climate displacement, hunger, war, rogue media and the idiocracy that has resulted.

It is time. Life. Dignity. Care. Respect. Kindness.

Before money.

This is my prayer.
