Precession and the natural impulse towards Syntropy

The Principle of Precession says that to every action there is an effect at 90 degrees. Drop a stone into a pond and we get ripples at 90 degrees.

For decades old traditionalist mostly male leaders have denied the effects of a fossil fuel addicted economy, preferring to dip into the Earth’s energy savings account than accessing our energy income account. Wedded to the addiction of money and power that has come from big oil, they have either bowed to their corporatist puppeteers, or refused to consider their dinosauric worldview.

Precession has another plan.

It is the silly way of humans. Wait until the pain and ill health is catastrophic, until the suffering is so amplified, and then, finally, tragically, choose to act.

Now becoming untenable, undeniable, with an economic cost far in excess of the cost to have made a radical shift towards renewable technology, with the pressure from the cost of living rising and the voting public roiling.

Clearly our grandchildren will look back at this time with wonder at our stupidity.

The greater hand is forcing change. The tragedy is the way this happens. Always collateral damage, more often than not the most vulnerable and marginalised at the effect.

I wonder if we will ever learn to invest in all-well-being, all-creature-care, rather than take the world to the brink.

The arrow towards Syntropy moves no matter our decision. One way bringing all, the other, with massive suffering.
