It is not something you hope for. Integrity is a way to live

The great Hannah Arendt wrote of the little atrocities. Micro transgression that paves the way for major evil.

We do not get to evil in one step. We walk into it by agreement. The banality of evil, she called it.

We are all complicit in this.

When we step over the lies we make to ourselves. When we step over the lies that others make to us. When we condone political leaders who lie and cheat.

When we step over a bully state annexing smaller lesser pieces of other states.

Integrity is a daily, minute by minute choice. It asks us to speak up when we tremble from fear of conflict in our personal relationships. It asks us to stand in the street and protest. It asks us to put our body being on the line against violation and oppression.

It is not something you hope for. Integrity is a way to live.
