Integrity is

Most of you know that Buckminster Fuller has been my mentor for over 35 years. Rigorously pragmatic and mathematical, Bucky, like most of his peers, found the sacred in science.
I was asked yesterday what it was about Bucky that captivated me all those years ago.
Integrity.
A relentless and passionate search for truth — and to name truth. There is no such thing as a straight line.
Total commitment to applying Nature’s Laws — what Bucky called Generalised Principles — to everything. The white man’s version of mathematical indigenaity.
We have lost connection with the divine, the sacred. Not some mythical white-brown man in the sky. Rather the Source of all life. The field. The flow. The absolute interconnectedness of everything. Beauty. Love. Care.
The liminal, transcontextual space, rich with everything, yet invisible and immeasurable.
How do we remember to cooperate and initiate according to the sacred?
We might begin by remembering that we are the sacred expressed. Every creature. No exceptions.
No exceptions.
And in our reaching deep into the interbeing of all things, we might listen as if life depended upon it.
Life indeed depends upon our listening to the sacred and acting truthfully as the sacred.
When we forget to do this, we are lost.
If lost, sit still. Bury your bare feet in the soil. Feel the soil of your being — including the one billion creatures who need your biology to be alive. Look to the infinity of the galaxy. You expressed in stars.
And listen.
In time you will hear where your integrity asks you to go and what it wants you to do.
