How to design a life
Begin with the acknowledgement of the privilege of the question.
Consider the things that are most important. For example, for me, my morning exercise routine is non-negotiable. Given I am up at 4 AM most mornings to get outside I also must go to bed early to be sure to get enough sleep.
Time with my loved ones is essential. Time to breathe and contemplate, to reflect, design and play is a requirement for my system to be of maximum efficiency. Flat-out busy all of the time kills my creativity, mental health and ability to respond to others with kindness.
Once the most important elements are anchored into the day-to-day, the next question is where do you spend your time that allows your skills, passions, talents and experience to be offered and utilised by others that add true value.
Finally, what activities can you hand over to others that allow you to be your best?
