Great art

Is controversial. That is the point. To get people to talk and reveal their values and hypocrisies.

An incredible and very French scene from the Olympic Opening ceremony has united the most unlikely allies. The Pope, Donald Trump (only for political gain with his base — I suspect in private he couldn’t care less) and the Ayatollah of Iran are all united in their condemnation of a scene taken from the ancient Greek Gods that resembles another artwork depiction of the Last Supper.

Art against art.

Art against art!

Meanwhile, the world is overheating, and millions are dying from Climate Change catastrophes.

South Sudan is once again starving.

The Israeli Knesset is deciding if the rape of Palestinians is legal. “To insert a stick into a person’s rectum, is that legitimate?”

Is this question itself even legitimate? And how the hell is any country now supporting this sanctioned and very public barbarity?

But no, let us get bent into apoplexy over a fabulous depiction of the Greek Gods feasting.
